If a member applies for DeCard on 2 June 2007, what will be the expiry date?

Q: Where can I apply for DeCard?
 
A: You can apply at the DeCard Booth located along the walkway of Downtown East lobby. Alternatively, you can apply online at:

Q: What are the operating hours of DeCard Booth?
 
A:

Q: Is submission of photographs a must?
 
A: Yes, as DeCard is a personalised card.

On-site: You can proceed to have your photo taken during application.

Online: The photo(s) can be submitted online. However, photo(s) must be submitted within 7 days. Alternatively, you can visit us at our DeCard booth during the operating hours to have your photo taken.
 
 
Q: If I did not submit my photo, can I collect my DeCard?
 
A: No, DeCard will not be issued if no photo is submitted.
 
 
Q: What happens if DeCard cannot be issued on the spot?
 
A: A receipt will be given to you as a temporary pass. This receipt is valid only for 1 month and receipt must be presented at the merchants, etc. to enjoy the benefits and privileges of DeCard.
 
 
Q: Must I present DeCard in order to be entitled to the discounts / benefits offered by the tenants / merchants?
 
A: Yes, as the discounts offered are exclusive to members only.
 
 
Q: What is the age range for child and adult?
 
A: A child who is between 3 and 12 years old is eligible for the application of DeCard (Child / Family Child).

Anyone above 13 years old will have to apply for DeCard (Adult / Family Adult).
 
 
Q: Are the cards transferable?
 
A: No, it is strictly not allowed as DeCard is a personalised card.
 
 
Q: If I have more than 2 adults / 2 children in my family, am I still eligible to sign up for DeCard (Gold Family)?
 
A: Yes. All you need to do is to sign up for an individual adult or child card to make up the number of adults or children you have in your family. For example: If you have 1 additional adult and 1 additional child in the family:

  • 1 DeCard (Gold Family)
  • 1 DeCard (Gold Adult) and
  • 1 DeCard (Gold Child)
     
     
    Q: If I have 4 adults in my family, am I still eligible to sign up for DeCard (Gold Family)?
     
    A: No, you will have to apply for 4 individual adult membership cards.

    DeCard (Gold Family) is only applicable for 2 adults and 2 children.
     
     
    Q: If I sign up for DeCard (Gold Family) how many card(s) will the family be holding?
     
    A: You will receive 4 cards – one card for each family member.
     
     
    Q: Can a child sign up for DeCard (Gold Child) on his/her own?
     
    A: Yes. But the parent / guardian must acknowledge the application and understand the parks' safety rules.
     
     
    Q: What happens if I had lost my DeCard?
     
    A: Loss of card must be reported immediately at DeCard Booth. A replacement fee of $10 will be imposed.
     
     
    Q: Will FunPoints and cash value be replaced for the lost card?
     
    A: No.
     
     
    Q: If I am an existing membership cardholder of DeCard or generic funkey! cardholder, can I transfer my existing cash value and FunPoints to my new DeCard?
     
    A: Yes. The existing cash value and funkey! points from the existing funkey! can be transferred to one DeCard but this must be done before the first top-up onto DeCard.
     
     
    Q: If I am holding Fun Pass and Wet Pass, can I combine the points and cash value and transfer it onto my DeCard?
     
    A: Yes. This is allowed only if the points and cash value are to be transferred onto one DeCard.
     
     
    Q: If I am holding all 3 existing membership cards, can I combine all the FunPoints and cash value and transfer them onto my DeCard?
     
    A: Yes, but only onto one DeCard.
     
     
    Q: Since the DeCard is also a funKey! card, how will I know how much cash value or FunPoints I have?
     
    A: You can approach our staff at any of the funKey! kiosk or look out for the yellow funKey! readers located all around Downtown East to check your cash value or FunPoints.
     
     
    Q: How do I use the FunPoints to redeem gifts or services?
     
    A: Simply present your DeCard at the “Top up and Redemption” booth (right next to the Help Station) and select the gift or service you would like to redeem. Please click here to check the items for redemption.
     
     
    Q: DeCard members enjoy 15% discount off for redemption. Is this for all or selected items?
     
    A: The discount is for selected items only.
    Please note that DeCard must be used for the redemption.
     
     
    Q: Can DeCard be combined with another card (generic funkey! or Link) for redemption?
     
    A: Yes. As long as one of the cards used is DeCard.
     
    Part 3: Member’s rate for Costa Sands Resort
    Q: Can I upgrade the room type?
     
    A: Yes, but you will need to pay a surcharge of $30 per chalet per night to upgrade to Duplex chalet at Costa Sands Resort (Pasir Ris).
     
     
    Q: How long is the free night(s) stay voucher valid till?
     
    A: The vouchers are valid for one year from the date you signed up as a DeCard member.
     
     
    Q: If the voucher(s) are not used within a year, can the date be extended?
     
    A: No.
     
     
    Q: How do I redeem the free night(s) stay?
     
    A: You can present the vouchers at Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) or Costa Sands Resort (Pasir Ris) to redeem the free night(s) stay.
     
     
    Q: Can a DeCard (Gold Family) member redeem his/her 2 free nights (peak) stay on Thursday and Friday?
     
    A: Yes. They can. The peak period voucher(s) can be used during off-peak periods.
     
     
    Q: Can the complimentary stay voucher(s) and the discount for chalet be transferred?
     
    A: No. It is strictly for the registered member only.
     
     
    Q: A child who is 13 years old and he/she is holding a DeCard, can he/she still book the chalets?
     
    A: No. The minimum age for booking the chalet is 18 years of age. However, the child's guardian or parents can book and check-in on the child's behalf as their names must be indicated in the application forms when a child below 18 years old sign up for DeCard.
     
     
    Q: Can a child who is 13 years old use the free night stay voucher to book the chalet?
     
    A: No. The minimum age for booking the chalet is 18 years of age. It is to be noted that a clause has been included in the T&C on the voucher that booking and checking-in must be done by guests who are above 18 years old. In the case of a child below 18, it is his/her the guardian or parent as the adult's name would have already been indicated on the application form.
     
     
    Q: Why must the guardian's or parent’s name be indicated on the application form?
     
    A: The requirement of the guardian's or parent’s name is to allow the flexibility of letting those below 18 years old to book the chalet(s).
     
     
    Q: Why must the guardian's or parent’s NRIC be indicated?
     
    A: This is to track if they are Union members.
     
     
    Q: Is the indication of guardian's or parent’s name required for all applicants?
     
    A: No. Only for applicants below 18 years old.
     
    Part 2: Purchase of Gift Vouchers
    Q: Can interested parties purchase DeCard as a gift for their loved ones?
     
    A: Yes. Now purchase can be made online or onsite at DeCard Booth.
     
     
    Q: How long is the processing time for on-site or online application?
     
    A: Processing time for gift voucher purchased onsite is immediate.
    Processing time for gift voucher purchased online is 2 days.

    Buyers or recipients of the vouchers can proceed to collect them at DeCard Booth (with the receipt 2 days after the date of purchase).
     
     
    Q: Will the vouchers be mailed to the buyer or recipient?
     
    A: No. The buyer or recipient must proceed to DeCard Booth with his/her receipt for collection. This is to prevent loss of vouchers(s).
     
     
    Q: What is the validity period of the gift voucher?
     
    A: 3 months from date of purchase.
    E.g. Date of purchase: 15 February 2007, Expiry date: 14 May 2007
     
     
    Q: Is the gift voucher transferable / exchangeable / refundable / replaceable?
     
    A: Yes, it is transferable.
    But note that voucher purchased is neither exchangeable nor refundable.
    Lost vouchers will also not be replaced.
     
    Part 4: Expiry date of DeCard
    Q: If a member applies for DeCard on 2 June 2007, what will be the expiry date?
     
    A: 1 June 2008; 12 months from the date of application.
