The U Fame Awards is the annual inter-union singing competition, organised by NTUC Club. Open to all NTUC members, the objectives are to provide an opportunity for singing talents to shine, and foster closer ties amongst the unions by encouraging the spirit of friendly competition.

For the past four years, this event has unveiled numerous talented members in the Labour Movement. Many of these past U Fame finalists were engaged to perform at NTUC events such as the May Day Carnival and May Day Dinner. This year’s finalists are no exception; they will have opportunities for exposure at upcoming union-related events including the Family Recreation and Fun Carnivals.

More importantly, the U Fame Awards is an effective engagement platform for unions to rally their members together. Unions take U Fame seriously and every year, support contingents are mobilised, making the finals a rousing and rowdy occasion. To serve as an encouragement and reward to the unions, the ‘Ra-Ra’ Award is given every year to the most creative, energetic and supportive union who has done their best to cheer on their representative.
